6. More detailed information
7 days travelling through the Kimberley with Adam Monk, Greg Hocking &
Nigel Gaunt, for a dedicated Photographic adventure tour and masterclass
workshop combined. There is a maximum number of 10 people, so
the tuition will be up-close and personal.
Adam, Greg and Nigel will be running workshops along the way on
topics ranging from getting the most out of your camera, ingredients of
a great image, to advanced photoshop techniques and post-processing
workflows.
We will go to the most spectacular places at the best time to be there for
that magic light that is the key to all great photographs. This tour is leaving
early in the season, when it's cooler and less
humid, to get the rivers and waterholes at their
best and with fewer other tourists, giving you
more opportunities for wild unspoilt images
with no people in them.
Practicalities
We will be travelling with three fully equipped
4WD vehicles, one extended landcruiser troop
carrier with forward facing comfy seats and air
conditioning, and 2 additional landcruisers as
support vehicles with kitchen and gear trailer.
We have solar panels, generators and inverters
to power laptops and recharge camera
batteries. We have fridges and freezers for
fresh food and the essential Gin & Tonics after
an invigorating day of inspired wows. We also
have a support crew who will be travelling
with us all the way to help set up camp and
prepare the meals, so you can focus on the
experience.
Our itinerary will include such iconic locations as Windjana Gorge ∓
Tunnel Creek, Mt Barnett Station, Manning Gorge and Manning Falls,
Bell's Gorge, El Questro and the Pentecost River. The best way to get
the true perspective of the Kimberley is to fly over it, so we have also
included a scenic helicopter flight around El Questro Station, one of the
most spectacular parts of the Kimberley. In the Kimberley the difficult
choice is not where to go, it's what to leave out!
