Photographer Nigel Gaunt formed Red Dirt Photography based in Broome, North Western Australia, in 2002 and specialises in landscapes and fine art Photography. He has a new gallery at 2/10 Carnarvon Street, Chinatown, Broome, Western Australia where many of his images can been seen. His work is also exhibited at Cafe Carlotta in Jones Place, Old Broome; The Pearlers Bar at The Roebuck Bay Hotel in Carnarvon St, Chinatown Broome and The Broome Factory, 9 Farrell St LIA Broome.

2. Tour itinerary

  • Day 1
    • Pick up from your accommodation in Broome and travel to Beagle Bay for morning tea and the first photography opportunity, the Sacred Heart Church with it's unique pearl shell altar. Then to Lombadina to settle into your rooms and explore the local area. After lunch we're off to Kooljaman Resort for a swim and photograph the beautiful red cliffs of Cape Leveque at sunset, before a BBQ dinner and the Staircase to the Moon photo shoot.
  • Day 2
    • Is an early start photographing Cape Leveque in the beautiful early morning light. After breakfast we drive to One Arm Point and the Aquaculture Centre with it's stunning views of Sunday Island. Lunch is back at the camp with some free time before your second sunset photo shoot, followed by a slide evening.
  • Day 3
    • After breakfast we go on a guided canoe tour and snorkelling over the reef with a local Bardi man. We have the last photo opportunity at Lombadina along with lunch, before winding our way back to Broome. Return to your accommodation around 5pm.
